Tournament
Report
A
professional chef and amateur
poker player, Airy Phanhyaseng,
simply known as ‘Air’ cooked
with the right ingredients
in today’s High/Low Stud Event,
which gave him 1st place for
his successful recipe. Stud
is Air’s game of choice and
he has chosen well. Air enjoys
traveling and is planning
a reunion with his family
in Laos in the early spring.
The blue ribbon is yours,
Air, for your first tournament
win in this Highl/Low Stud
bake-off. The crowd gives
a thumbs up!
Here
he is, the mainline of poker
society, Ron Schiffman, 2nd
place finisher and hobnobber
of the famous and talented.
He’s a fixed-wing pilot, owner
of a travel and entertainment
business and an avid golfer,
who’s played the courses around
the world. He has daughters,
golden retrievers and a beautiful
Irish-born wife, Marie, who
has given him the best Irish
accent you’ll ever hear. Though
Ron is wearing shades, we
are still able to recognize
him, as he’s the only player
wearing an ascot, with a private
plane parked out back.
‘Flash’
Gordon Ernst is surrounded
by his buddies as they share
in his 3rd place victory.
Gordon was last year’s winner
of this High/Low Stud Event
and fought hard to try to
scoop up a consecutive year’s
title. A valiant effort indeed!
In
attendance today was Lee Schreiber,
from Fortune, Small Business
Magazine . Lee was not only
performing his journalistic
duties, but was a tournament
participant as well. Thank
you for your interest in the
USPC!
