Tournament
Report
'Layout
of green, red aces too, USPC
, he’s captured you’...‘Flakes’
aka ‘Johnny World’ is sitting
on top of the world tonight,
after playing through three
days of white heat to become
the USPC No-Limit Hold’em
Champion! Not bad for a first
time no-limit hold’em tournament
win for Johnny World, as he
is coasting away with a Harley
Davidson motorcycle, a Rolex
watch, a trophy, a whole lot
of cash and the much coveted
title of USPC Champion. Very
gentle, always in control,
nonchalant, yet gutsy, like
an $80,000 call to win with
a king high...John entertained
us with a show that was out
of this world. Outside of
poker, John likes.. poker...other
interests include..poker..and
with his beer, he likes...poker.
What else is there? ‘And I
say to myself, what a wonderful
poker world....oh yeah!’
Even
Phil Hellmuth Jr. had high
regards for the heads up play
between Johnny World and Erik
Seidel. Thank you Phil, for
the final table play-by-play.
In
just 14 short years, Erik
Seidel has climbed the poker
ladder of success, and today
he was elevated one wrung
higher by taking 2nd place
at the USPC, where the ‘top
guns’ of poker came to compete.
Erik enjoys travel, music
and tennis, and is respected
as one of the movers and shakers
of poker.
“Don’t
go all-in with two 7’s” says
Eric Buchman, who placed 3rd,
and a very admirable 4th went
to Hyun ‘Charlie’ Bae, as
it was his first no-limit
hold’em final table.
A
most sincere congratulations
and thank you to all who participated
in the USPC tournament!
Tom
Gitto, Room Manager and Dave
Marshall, Tournament Director....great
job! You’ve made us all very
proud!
