Poker Trip Report

Humberto takes the title WPO Champion

It started 5 handed around 1 pm. First to exit was David (Devilfish) Ulliott. Next out was Robert Dreyfuss (K-K vs Erik's A-K, Ace hit the flop) In third place came Alex Papachatzakis. After it became heads up both Erik and Humberto took a break. Erik had circa 540K to Humberto's 860K. Rather anticlimactic after that.

A couple highlights I remember was David Ulliott after tapping out 5th and going over to the money display to interview with Phil Hellmuth Jr, sticking money bale after money bale into his jacket. Security guard came over during the interview and frisked David to make sure he put all the bales back. It was hilarious. Also right in the middle of a hand when there was still 3 left Mike Laing came over to the table with two money bales and wanting to buy in again saying he wanted another chance.

It was a great tournament overall. Everyone, and I mean everyone was pleased with the Gold Strike's and Horseshoe's 3rd annual presentation. Most can't wait until next year. I include myself in that number.

Gary (G-man) Philips
