WOG POINTS CHAMPION

While "Super Mario" Esquerra did not win any events, his three final-table finishes along with other money cash-outs were enough to nail down the All-Around Points Payoff championship for Winnin' o' the Green 2003 and the $7,500 top prize. His final tables included a sixth and a seventh in two no-limit events, and a second in 7-card stud. With his third final table in the second no-limit event he jumped into a 28-point lead which nobody could overcome. Mario has numerous tournment wins to his credit, and prior best all-arounds at the Bicycle Casino, Hollywood Park, Commerce Casino, Viejas and Crystal Park. Congratulations, Mario.
