World Series of Poker's Main Event Telecast Begins
Tuesday, Aug. 10 on ESPN
The Main Event begins Tuesday, Aug. 10, at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN with the second largest field in poker history, 7,319 players, all seeking the world championship. Lon McEachern and Norman Chad co-host the 2010 World Series of Poker, presented by Jack Link's Beef Jerky.
No one is safe, not even the best pros in the world. Three-time WSOP bracelet winner Mike "The Mouth" Matusow takes center stage on opening day and brings plenty of entertainment and intensity. "The Mouth" has made some of the most memorable deep runs in the modern era of the Main Event, and this year he's as hungry as ever to get another shot at the title. But he'll have to contend with a monstrous field that features some of the biggest names in the game, including 2003 champion Chris Moneymaker, 2004 titlist Greg Raymer and 2010 Poker Players Championship winner Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi. Others in action on opening night include WSOP Europe winner Annette Obrestad, former Main Event champion Dan Harrington and 2008 Player of the Year Erick Lindgren.
