leather jacket and the First Place prize of $108,329!!
Twenty-one players returned at Noon on Friday to continue the quest for the Championship; the final
ust before 2 pm. It would take over an hour of play before the final table short stack,
Antonio Ribeiro of Naugatuck, CT, would push in his last 70K. Antonio had A5 but Robert Kleinman turned
over pocket A's and Antonio would collect 10th place money of $4,623. The blinds would reach 10K/20K before
Steven Levy departed the scene. Steven lost all but 70K when Chris MacNeil showed K's up.
thereafter, Steven was all-in with K2 in three way action with Ray Lynn and Kevin Mahoney. Ray called with
pocket Q's and Kevin was all-in with AQ. With a K on the turn, there was hope but Kevin hit a flush on the river
to leave Ray with 50K and Steven was the 9th place winner of $5,686. would stave off elimination
for several hands before going all-in with pocket 2's. Chris MacNeil had pocket Q's, flopped a set and relegated
Ray to 8th place; Ray would return to Alexandria, VA, with $7,192.
The blinds were at 12K/24K when Todd Elwood moved all-in with pocket 4's after a 50 K bet by Billy
Billy called the extra 86K with K10 and caught a straight on the river to place Todd in 7th with $10,789 to
take home to Southlake, TX. Sixth position was claimed by Robert Kleinman of Somers, NY. Robert saw his
stack erode and was finally all-in with K10. Chris MacNeil called with AJ which held up and Robert took home
of Oakdale, NY, hung on for 5th.
