This is the best typo I have ever seen.

NLMatt is "inciteful". He easily incites all of us.

He is not "insightful" He provides insight to none of us.

The biggest crime here is his pathetic attack on a board members wife. I believe he thought it was funny, It was not. An attack should BE short and sweet like this.

NLMATT, SHUT YOUR BROKE ASS PIEHOLE, YOU BLUBBERING MANGINA!!!!!

I posted this thread to get opinions and responses to the situation.

Personally I feel that calling someone stupid and then not elaborating on why you think they're stupid makes you out to be the stupid one. Besides how much can you gather of ones intelligence from one situation?

Also putting the phrase "No Offense" in front of something doesn't necessarily make in inoffensive.
I agree the comment was uncalled for, but you did sort of set yourself up for it. You could have posted the hand without mentioning your wife's comments if you really just wanted to know if it was the correct play. The one thing I would absolutely disagree with her on is that you can wait out the other 2 stacks and take second.

It was the correct move, IMO. If the board came AK249 would your wife still have said it was a bad move? Probably not. Hind sight is 20/20 - you aren't going to finish in 1st in every SNG.

NoLifeMatt -

How can you accuse somebody else of being stupid after your previous comments about a disputed hand. 4 spades on the board and 2 players each have a spade. Obviously (to most of us) one must have a higher spade than the other. Now you said the pot should be split even though one has a higher flush than the other. Now that REALLY is a stupid comment. Finally, to call someone's wife stupid IS offensive and even more so from somebody who doesn't even understand one of the basic rules of poker.

Its the right move, you have to make a move before you stack becomes irrelevant. It was still large enough to make the other guys think about folding, and he needed a solid hand to call you down, because if he doubled you up you guys would have been very close in chips. Hell, I might have made the move with 2-3 there

http://www.wordiq.com/definition/Flush

Tie-breaking of flushes, or "flush-breaking", is a matter of controversy, especially in communal-card games such as Texas hold 'em. Some tables compare only the highest cards of the flush (if these are the same, the pot is split). This is known as top-only, as opposed to top-down, flush-breaking. The disadvantage of top-down flush-breaking is unanticipated kicker-screw. For example, a player with two low hole spades, when three out of four table cards are spades, may bet aggressively knowing he or she has the flush. If a fourth spade comes on the river, this player's hand is degraded from powerful to effectively useless. As the essential idea of poker is to bet on improving (or, at least, no worse than stagnating) hands, this is considered an undesirable situation. Top-only flush-breaking reduces the frequency with which such scenarios occur.
Well found. However, where is the controversy? Every online site plays top down. Vegas casinos are top down, all UK casinos are top down and every televised tournament I've ever seen was top down. This is normal play and surely anything different to the norm would made clear when taking your seat.

For the sake of argument, what is a "nut" flush then?

I thought it was a joke at first but you are a moron,I mean if someone corrects you and you say "o my bad" or whatever then I wouldnt call you a moron.

But to argue that your right when who knows how many people tell you your wrong thats crazy...

Its the same with any hand in poker,If I have a 7 high str and you have a 8 high str,YOU WIN...

If I have two pair QQ and 77 with a K kicker and you have two pair QQ and 77 with a Ace kicker,YOU WIN...

You need to go read a book then come back...

I have to figure Poker Larry is just trying to stir things up, you would think noone could continue to stand by such ignorance with that kind of conviction.
