I play quite a bit of poker online. My wife sits around and usually watches me play. The problem I'm running into is that my wife is a Monday Mourning Quaterback. I feel she nit picks at plays I make when I get knocked out but it's rather convenient since she already knows the end results.
Here's a situation that just happened and I was wondering what you guys think.
3 players left in a $20 SNG at Poker Stars. I'm the shortstack with $900 left. The player to my left has around $7,000 and the player to my right has around $4,000. The blinds are at $200/$100 with a $25 ante.
I'm on the button and I'm dealt pocket 2's. I feel this is as good of hand to push as any so I move all-in with my $900. The player with $4,000 left calls with A Q.
Well the board comes A J Q Q A and I'm knocked out.
She says it was stupid to move all-in with pocket 2's here. I should wait for a better hand and hope the two big stacks get into it and maybe move into second.
I say it was as good of hand as any at this point and I'm going to have to take chances. One more trip through the blinds and I only have about $550 left and that really doesn't put one of my opponets to a decision weather or not to call when I do have to move all-in.
What do you guys think?

Poker larry,
No offense but weren't you the one who said that two guys had a split pot when one guy had a flush 10 kicker and the other a flush 6 kicker. Not so sure I would be calling people stupid if I were you. If I remember correctly about 20 people said the same about you in that post and I am sure like 1000 more just thought it but never spent the time to post it.
His wifes strategy there wasn't as stupid as your post last week........ no offense of course!

Personally I feel that calling someone stupid and then not elaborating on why you think they're stupid makes you out to be the stupid one. Besides how much can you gather of ones intelligence from one situation?
Also putting the phrase "No Offense" in front of something doesn't necessarily make in inoffensive.

You were right to push, but I think the problem is actually letting her watch in the first place. There has to be some Freudian bs about wanting to impress a female so you bet big at inappropriate times. Or you play too safe in hopes to not get nagged about a bad beat or trap.

It was absolutely the right call. I would do it every time in that situation. You are severely short stacked and need to make a move. When you're 3-handed, the blinds come around so quick that you have to push with a decent hand.

ok your wife is obviously a stupid ass bitch. she probably weighs 300 pounds, and has a period constantly. you need to fucken hit her in the face a couple of times, and tell her she is stupid, and go bake me a cake. also, tell her its a widely known fact women suck at poker, and should not be able to talk no matter what the circumstances

Ok I've been here long enough, and read enough of noLOOOOOOOTMatt's posts,
So 2 things...
1. You made the right play, you could have waited maybe one or two more hands, but really not much more, it was obviously unlucky that one of the remaining 2 had a good hand. My gf sometimes does that to me too, everyone knows how to play it after it is over, wait till she goes to bed and then play, thats what I do now.
2. NLMATT, shut the hell up honestly. I mean we know you live in IOWA and that the crops are all harvested and you're bored, and that the even the pigs won't sleep with you anymore, but who the hell do you think you are?? Some mama's boy I would imagine, she is probably doing your laundry for you right now.
